Better Dads

Building Stronger Fathers, Families & Workplaces

Overview

Better Dads is a preventative, early-intervention employer sponsored program designed to empower fathers with the tools, skills, and support they need to build strong, healthy family relationships. Inspired by the Caring Dads model, the program promotes emotional regulation, positive parenting, and stronger connections at home and at work.

Why Better Dads Matters

Shift work and FIFO roles can place enormous pressure on families. Long hours, time away from home, and high-stress environments often lead to emotional fatigue, strained relationships, and mental overload. These challenges that don’t just stay at home, but follow workers onto the job site, impacting safety, focus, and team culture.

Better Dads is a proactive program designed to support fathers facing these pressures. It equips them with practical tools to strengthen family connections, manage emotional stress, and reduce psychosocial risks — all while helping organisations build safer, more resilient workplaces.

This program is especially valuable for dads dealing with:

  • FIFO or shift-based work demands.

  • Separation, divorce, or co-parenting complexities.

  • Emotional fatigue or behavioural challenges at home.

No judgement. Just support.
Better Dads offers a space for skill-building, connection, and meaningful change; at work and at home.
