Board Members

Owen has worked in the corporate sector in WA for over 20 years.

A qualified engineer, he has worked in operations, projects, and commercial roles. He is now a senior leader, and enjoys the challenges of leading teams in complex environments. 

Married, and with three teenage girls, he is passionate about fostering and supporting strong families, as the core building block of strong communities. Owen and his family live in Falcon, and Owen is invested in seeing the Mandurah region thrive – economically and socially.

Owen Mulder

Mark O’Hare is the Operations Manager at Stopping Family Violence (SFV), the Peak Body for perpetrator response work in WA. He has a wealth of experience in working in Mens Behaviour Change Programs, Violent Offender Treatment Programs, Sex Offender Treatment Programs and working with Men with AOD issues. Previous to working in the FDV sector, Mark has facilitated Drug and Alcohol group programs, and specialised in mens groups and working with adolescents who use substances. Mark has held a number of positions in government including a specialised FDV Coordinator and consultant roles with WA Department of Justice which involved providing specialist FDV consultancy to the Department and supporting community based MBCPs.

After holding managerial positions in the Department of Justice including Director of Offender Programs, he commenced SFV and has since been working in the areas of policy, training, research and advocacy to support WA systems and practice change to become more FDV Informed. Mark Chaired the MBCP Network and MBCP Peer Practitioner Forum for a number of years and continues to sit on a number of Network and Steering committees including the Family Law Pathways Network and Healthy Relationships Strategy Group. Mark is also a fully certified trainer in the Safe and Together Training and has delivered the CORE and Supervisors training across Australia.

Geoff Hart-Davies, CEO Stronger Families

Geoff Hart-Davies  Founder & CEO

Geoff is a dedicated professional with a strong background in family support services and program delivery. With years of experience in the sector, he has been instrumental in leading initiatives that strengthen relationships and improve family dynamics. His expertise lies in coordinating and implementing evidence-based programs, such as Caring Dads, to support fathers in becoming more engaged, responsible, and nurturing caregivers. Geoff’s commitment to fostering healthier family environments is evident in his strategic approach to service delivery and collaboration with key stakeholders.

As a key figure at Stronger Families, Geoff has played a pivotal role in expanding the organisation’s reach and impact. His leadership has contributed to the successful implementation of programs that address critical family issues, including parenting challenges, relationship breakdowns, and domestic violence prevention. He is highly regarded for his ability to engage with diverse communities, ensuring that services are accessible and effective. Geoff’s hands-on approach and deep understanding of family dynamics enable him to provide practical support while advocating for systemic change.

Beyond his work in program management, Geoff is passionate about continuous learning and professional development. He actively engages in research and training to stay informed about best practices in family support and intervention strategies. His dedication to improving outcomes for families extends beyond his professional role, as he frequently collaborates with industry experts, policymakers, and community organisations to drive meaningful change. Through his leadership and vision, Geoff continues to make a lasting impact in the field of family support services.

Born and educated in the UK, Jackie is an experienced small and medium sized business owner and operator.

Emigrating to Australia in 1977, she has acquired extensive experience owning and operating various business in the Interior Design industry incorporating manufacturing, retail & importing of products for her Australian & overseas clients.

Together with husband Geoff, Jackie co founded Stronger Families a NFP organisation out of a sincere desire to address the root causes of family and domestic violence after experiencing the profound effect of FDV on family members and close friends.  

Jackie & her husband live in the Peel region and continue to work to ensure that Stronger Families can provide the Caring Dads program to keep families safe.

David Cornwall

Treasurer

David Cornwall is a Director at BDR Business Accountants in Mandurah where he specialises in Business Advisory and Taxation. He has over 30 years’ experience in his profession and is passionate about helping businesses grow to their full potential.

David has lived in the Peel Region for most of his life and has seen the area grow from a number of small shires to the major regional centre that it is today. With this growth he has witnessed many positives but also a few negatives. The opportunity to be part of the Stronger Families Board, was embraced enthusiastically. He saw the strategies that were to be implemented at a community level and also the calibre of the other board members and saw this as a way to be part of something making a really positive difference in the Peel Region.

His knowledge and experience in the areas of business structuring, governance and compliance are offered to compliment the other very experienced and highly qualified board members to achieve the Stronger Families Foundation aims.

Allan Salmon 

Member

Born and raised on a sheep and cattle property in Margaret River, Allan spent the majority of his working life as an HR professional with extensive experience in the private, public and not for profit sectors. Returning to university in mid life, Allan studied law and has since worked extensively in the Community Legal system in both Bunbury and the Peel region, in addition to establishing and managing his own legal firm.

Allan has a long standing desire to assist those less fortunate, and consequently has served on a number of NPO Boards including Bindi Inc (Alice Springs), and Advocacy SW (Bunbury), both of which provided support services for physically and mentally disadvantaged people.

A life time classic car aficionado, Allan now resides in Falcon where he divides his time between providing community legal services and rebuilding and maintaining his E Type Jaguar and 1934 BSA saloons.

Doriena Parsons

Doriena Parsons Member

With close to 20 years’ experience in Marketing, Communications, BD and Stakeholder management, Doriena’s diverse career has seen her work in a range of roles for major brands in the Middle East, Europe and Australia, predominantly in banking, cards, payments, fintech and similar highly regulated B2B and B2B2C industries. Additionally, she provides guest lectures and workshops and serves as Director on several NFP boards, is a CPM and Mentor with the Australian Institute of Marketing.
